BYD’s S6 will be launch on May 6

The BYD S6 SUV was first on show at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2010, but now it is going to see its official launch on May 6.  The automaker is planned to push itself into new vehicle segments  by launching its first SUV. Their first MPV launched in late 2010.

BYD’s S6 is cloned from Lexus RX 350, according the unknown person inside BYD.

Pricing is expected to be around 150,000rmb (about 23,000$) depending on specification, one engine offering will be the 2.0L self developed engine from BYD, and the other will be the Mitsubishi engine paired to either a manual or automatic gearbox.
