Luxury vehicle 911, Cayenne SUV (sports utility vehicle), Cayman sports car, and Boxster are car models from the house of Porsche. Carrera hybrid and mountain bikes are also sold widely. Porsche diesel tractors are used extensively for agricultural purpose.
Daimler AG – Daimler AG is the manufacturer of Mercedes Benz luxury passenger cars. With its headquarter in Stuttgart, Daimler has an employee strength of nearly 275,000. In 2007 this German automobile company earned revenue of US $123.7 million and net income of US $4.95 million. In addition passenger cars Daimler also manufactures commercial passenger and goods vehicles. Mercedes Benz luxury cars, Daimler trucks and buses, and Mercedes Benz vans are acclaimed internationally for their superior technology and sustainability.
BMW – Bavarian Motor Works based in Munich is an independent automobile manufacturer established in 1916. This high performance premium brand manufacturer also owns Rolls Royce and MINI car brands. BMW generated a revenue of US $69.72 billion in 2007 and a corresponding profit of US $3.9 billion. 1 series, 3 series, 5 series, 6 series, 7 series, and X series are the premium brands of passenger cars manufactured by this German giant. Formula sports cars and motor cycles are the other products of this company.
